BIO

I was born in Colorado, grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and currently live and work in Boston. I divide my time between being an Arts Administrator, a Practicing Artist, and an Independent Curator. I greatly enjoy working within the creative industry, promoting community outreach and successfully establishing partnerships and collaborations with major cultural and learning organizations.
I am a people person, yet maintain an ability to be detail-oriented and hyper-focused while performing administrative tasks. I love working with artists, creatives and seasoned art professionals and started my career as first assistant to Brazilian Sculptor Ernesto Neto, representing the artist globally.
In May 2018 I had the pleasure and honor to be invited to attend the MASS MoCA residency program, dividing my time between my two passions - making art and offering opportunities and platforms for artists to show and develop their work.
I am specialized in contemporary art and trained as a fine artist, having experience working at museums, both as an educator and working closely with renowned artists and curators. My trajectory as an independent curator and organizer is centered on diversity, inclusion, community building and engagement, innovation, experimentation, and risk-taking. I have participated in and organized numerous group exhibitions at national and international venues as well as in unconventional spaces (the strangest location being a ferryboat). My work is featured in collections including the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada; the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro and Centro Cultural São Paulo, Brazil, as well as private collections in the United States and abroad.
